Summer on the Lofoten is from June to the first half of August. The midnight sun shines from mid-May to mid-July. At the beginning and end of the season, the midnight sun is a large red ball above the horizon that turns clouds and mountains red. In mid-June the sun is high in the sky in the middle of the night. Summer is the high season for tourism and we sometimes reach temperatures of up to 20 degrees. On the islands there are seas of yellow and purple flowers.
